Posted by Thomas in Tiffin , tags: bombay , Dakar , Paris We learn today a flyer at the entrance to the offices famous baker Eric Kayser has just opened a bakery in Dakar (3 Boulevard de la Republique, for natives). Hair cell on the way to the cathedral for the growing Sunday morning! It's fun to see the amazing ease with which French companies trades mouth move here, compared to the French gastronomic desert in India. Fortunately, next to some French-inspired restaurants such as Olive & Kitchen, some very recent initiatives ("The 15" in Bombay, for example) should improve the situation. Remains the case of outrageous taxation of foreign wines in India (in Dakar, they would rather cheaper than Paris ...). 2 Comments »
BOMBAY - Starting next year, a new measure could be implemented in schools in Maharashtra to fight against cheating during examinations at the end of secondary school. It appears that nearly 30% of students hide anti-dry in their shoes. They will now go into the exam room barefoot. The union proctors however strongly for extending the measure to bras girls, cache favorite female tickets, as everyone knows.
No Comments » Summary of the previous episode: The Little Mustache out of four years in Bombay to follow financial matters. He arrived in Dakar to follow broader economic issues throughout the region. 1 / On the Job - Good: friendly staff, interesting topics, huge corner office with 180 degree views of the sea - Not so good: a little paddle technique (power cuts and internet not at the top), paperwork almost as significant in India 2 / Away - Good: local people both very elegant and with a lot of spirit, a city on a human scale, logistics facilitated by the housing office, the happiness of the Casino (there is even the tartiflette and Ricard!) - Not so good: permanent traffic jams guaranteed end of the rainy season (ie frequent thunderstorms, until the end of the month), the danger of the Casino (double price compared to France), anti-mosquito yet super strong that does not work at all (zone III of malaria, it is not mosquitoes but tanks) No Comments »
Posted by Thomas in General , tags: bombay , Senegal First day in the new country and the new features today. The entire cash Senegal nearly as many people as half of Bombay, necessarily, it's a little empty ... Time to install, there will be perhaps too much tickets initially. In the meantime, do not hesitate to offer a replacement item for the Little Mustache (I already have the name but not the main idea: difficult to say whether there will be many stories in the press make a daily column). You must have seen, the contributions Blog Bombay were rare in recent months due to lack of time or inspiration . However, there is, for cronyism, to remember the excellent blog Geoffroy & Olivia , including the always fascinating articles on French often ignored in India. Of particular note is the beautiful portrait of Father Ceyrac released yesterday. PS: on our side, the 180,000 visitors expected to be met that night (daily average of 450 visits ... Yahoo and Google had better watch out!). Thank you to you all! PPS: The statistics of the host can also take account of the RSS. With this addition, the past year , there are more than 336,000 visitors who enjoyed the moustacheries this blog. Is probably really close to 800,000 visitors since the beginning of the blog, thank you all the more! Comment »
GOA - Panaji The branch of the Bombay High Court has just made a curious decision in the case of the disappearance of 24 kg of cannabis placed under seal in the police station of the city. Far from blaming the police in charge of their custody, the court acknowledged the guilt of a band of termites. He also issued a search on a thousand insects with a green cap, yellow and black, and whistling of Bob Marley. No Comments »
MOGADISHU - An Islamist group has urged the Somali capital radios immediately stop playing music, otherwise "serious consequences." The 14 stations involved have complied, and now spreading various rumors: horns, bursts of machine guns and other engine noises. The soundtrack come from the Mumbai attacks in November 2008.

Posted by Thomas in Burma , General , tags: bombay , Japan To make it simple, say it is one of the three countries visited since we were in Mumbai (fifteen in nearly 4 years, time flies ...) where it is safe to return with Israel and Japan (China would just after). One reason enough to explain the incredible kindness of the people. Pending the posting of the minutes written (but not published) daily, the first photos arrive HERE
